The Stages of My Career
A)
Started taking photos of wildlife with my phone through binoculars; they were shit but they ignited a passion.
Took my first photos on a camera Dec. 26, 2020. The surplus of buttons on the D90 were overwhelming. I knew immediately I couldn't take photos in Auto, so I switched to manual and practiced most days taking photos of animals near my home, searing the exposure triangle into my mind.
B)
I learned a new skill - can I make money? I spent all of summers 2021 and 2022 taking photos of CARS in Reno and recruiting my friends to drive me while I hung out the trunk getting rollers.
My value proposition: I made sure every photoshoot was in a badass location.
At the end of summer 2022, I decided I would teach myself videography and editing. A two week trip to Orange County with a friend and many videos later, I had a completely unusable collection of footage. This led to a deep dive into color grading with Davinci Resolve and YouTube University.
Oh, and I met Adrian and Isaiah briefly at a car meet during my time in OC - they play an important role in 2024.
C)
2023 and sophomore year at Baylor University: the camera rarely left my side. I joined the wakeboarding team at Baylor University and on top of shredding, I often brought the camera out to film videos for the team.
At summer start, a group of friends enjoyed a trip to Colorado and we filmed content for a friend's vodka company wakeboarding across a pond via razor - these videos can be found in The Video Archives.
Then, I was off to Oklahoma to assist filming for a friend's wakeboarding film, 'Amoeba.' We filmed the first part at the Wake Farm in Louisiana a few months prior.
Next Stop: Jupiter, Florida for shark diving with Tanner Mansell.

And as soon as I got back to school, I filmed my first music video...and then my second.

D)
Summer 2024: Junior year of college is the time for an internship. The problem? I wanted to pursue a freelance career! So, I packed my bags and left for Los Angeles a day after getting out my wisdom teeth in time to meet Errol for a living arrangement interview - I was approved!
I spent my mornings sending DMs to local Directors, Cinematographers, and anyone else within the film industry, asking to meet for coffee or lunch to learn about what they do.
After many meetings, Michael invited me to shoot two music videos, a spec ad for CELINE, and a short film where I met some incredible individuals.
Working with NCF, I shot music videos for DTrue, did creative work with Adrian and Jamal, and was introduced to many opportunities.

In two months, I did more then I can put simply, but here is the short list:
Fearless Church, Basketball with Cliff, Life with James, Chef Melary, Emeka Nwokolo, Jamal Hill, Never Compromise Films: Adrian and Isaiah, FilmHive Cinema Club, Jordan Hall + Jay Florian, Joker, Candlelight, DTrue, Leteveon, Age + AD + James TIME Skit, Rose Bowl, Joshuwa hunting YE
Truly a Blessing.

Back to school, I began shooting for Baylor Athletics January 2024 and shot my last game May 10, 2025. This taught me to successful work within a high-speed team. This gave me direct access to a creative director, whom I learned many lessons from. I also have 29,716 photos in my Lightroom and receive a 'Storage Exceeded' message each time I open the app.
In my senior year of college, I embraced the opportunity to work with two Waco businesses: AC Hotel by Marriott Downtown Waco and Standard Hat Works. Learn more about my work in my Marketing Portfolio.

As of May 17, 2025, I am a Baylor University graduate with my Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing and Management - HELL YEAH!
Now, full pursuit of the Creative Director role. Whatever that means.
